Dancing into a happily ever after.

I was so excited when one of my closest friends and fellow wedding extraordinaire, B randy Harlan, Event Manager at The Retreat located in Sarasota, FL asked me if I would help coordinate a wedding she was overseeing as both the venue manager AND helping her friends Stacey and Mike plan their event. I gladly jumped at the opportunity to assist and add my special touch to the wedding. When I arrived I was met with Brandy already hard at work running around the gorgeous tent draped in ivy and lights while. Mindful Blooms was putting their gorgeous sustainably raised flowers around both the ceremony and reception site.

With all of those little touches in place. Brandy and I lead the wedding party down the aisle and then shed a tear or two at the heart touching ceremony where the couple's vows exemplified their commitment of love and family and where the future will take the new Mr. and Mrs..

We led the guests to a garden area for cocktail hour where they were greeted with a drink and a bountiful grazing board provided by Curated Catering Events who also provided the delicious dinner AND churro bar. Guests entered the reception tent draped in ivy and lights accented with powder blue, gold and wildflowers of all colors accenting the space. After the speeches, tasty cuisine and some blankets handed out for the cold (yes, even in Florida the cold can wreak havoc on a wedding day) is when the real party started.

With DJ Joey Horn. adding his special flare and amazing music knowledge. the dance floor quickly became covered with friends and family dancing to love under the tent. Stacey. bride and co-owner of Fly Dance Fitness, took the floor with many guests excitedly following her, where they danced to their rhythmic routines ALL night. You may have already seen or heard of this wedding as it exploded on social media, racking up over 80 million views and counting!

The night was romantic, engaging and energetic. It was truly magical and I am beyond grateful that the couple allowed me to add my special touch to their day and know they felt confident and calm knowing that Brandy and I had everything under control so they could get to that dance floor.

Again, a heartfelt congratulations to Stacey and Mike and wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness and growth. (And maybe some dancing of course!)

I am adding some amazing photography from Sam from So Many Moments Photography, who with their documentary, candid-stylistic approach, truly caught the joy, fun and in-the-monment spirit of the day.

Cheers,

Adam
